Immigration

Hi,My name is Jenea M. from Mr.Sals first period 20th century class.
Immigration has caused many types of problems throughout history. As of today there are currently around 200 million immigrants, but mainly in parts of Europe. Although freedom of movement is often recognized as a civil right, the freedom only applies to movement within national borders.

As of the 19th century, until today, the expansion of the United states increased the flow of immigration, and most of them were from foreign countries. Now a days many countries have immigration and visa restrictions that prohibit a person entering the country for the fear of getting a job without a valid work card. People that are declared an economic migrant can be refused entry into a country. There are several rich countries that are open migrants and regugees that come from the more low class countries such as : Austrailia, Canada, Europe, Italy, Norway, Portugaul, Spain, and many others. The most common as we all know is the United States. During the 17th and 18th century and so on, 400,000 immigrants crossed the Atlantic, mainly coming from Europe. Immigration has troubled the US techically wise, money wise, and many other ways, and has increased since the 18th century.
