Hello, my name is Jenea M. from Mr. Sal’s 1st period 20th Century Class. The Blog I will be writing about will be on Woodrow Wilson’s life throughout presidency, Archduke Francis Ferdinand, and also on The League of Nations.

Woodrow Wilson was born on December 28th, 1856 in Staunton Virginia. In his earlier years, Wilson began teaching at Bryn Mawr College, before he went off taking a job offer at the faculty of Wesleyan University. The time being there, Woodrow published several books and even got the attention of a national reputation as a political scholar. The way that he came known into presidency, was because of his intelligence, and ways of solving issues, came to the attention of New Jerseys political leaders. During his first term, he passed a tariff and legislation reform. Later on in that term his wife died, WW1 broke out in Europe and things just went down hill from there. In 1918, Wilson suffered a stroke from working to hard. In 1920 he was awarded a Nobel Peace prize, and later on retired from his doings with his new wife Edith Bolling Galt, and died three years later.

Archduke was born in Graz, Austria. Just at 12 years old, he he inherited the title Archduke of Austria. After his mother and father passed, he became heir to the empire in 1899. Going by the rules of Austro Hungarian Empire, he was supposed marry someone of equal rank.
