Royal Wedding- Marissa G.

Hi, this is Marissa G from period 6 20th century. The Royal Wedding took place in England on April 29th, 2011. This was such a big deal because it was a wedding between Prince William and Catherine Middleton. They are said to be the next in line for the throne if the Queen refuses to give it to Prince Charles, her own son. I think the US took a liking to this wedding because of how amazing and big everything was. It was traditional and everyone in England had the day off as if it was a holiday. I found it interesting on how traditional everything was and how they have been doing these traditions for years.

Assassination of Osama Bin Laden

Hi I’m Brandon R. and I am in Mr. Sal’s period 6 20th Century History class and we have talked about the assassination of Osama Bin Laden that took place on May 1, 2011. Bin Laden was assassinated by U.S. Navy Seals in Bin Laden’s mansion in Pakistan. Once Bin Laden was killed, Bin Laden’s body was taken to sea so the body can be buried. This technic is called “sea burial”. Americans are celebrating over this which we should be, but we should still be on our toes. Someone can take over Bin Laden’s spot and still cause terriorism which still puts me in fear. I would feel so much better once terriorism is put to a complete halt and our world is peaceful.

Osama Bin Laden

My thoughts on he whole Osama Bim Laden murder are clear. I believe that a bigger war is going to lash out apon us now, or people he is associated with are going to retaliate against the US and more atrocities are going to fall amongst the American people. And the fact that Osama was never truly linked to the 9/11 accident and even said on many occasions, and with all these conspiracy theories out here leaves you thinking about your own leaders intentions. Was May 1, 2011 a mission to arrest Osama or was it just a MURDER MISSION to kill off a voice. Which is going to cause more chaos. Hes death doesnt matter cause were still going to have troops out and killings of war still happening.

OLIVIA- OSAMA ASSIGNMENT

The death of Osama Bin Laden is obviously a great triumph for America. He was a sick and destructive man that undoubtedly deserved to die. Some people may feel like we were finally safe from terrorism now that the head-honcho of al Qaeda is dead, but I’m not so sure that this means complete safety for us. Whenever something huge like this happens, it is bound to start something else. Osama’s people are most certainly very upset and that could lead to retaliation and attacks. Al Qaeda is a multi-national organization with many Senior Leaders who are still free and participating in the acts of terrorism. I hope that his death does not start something else, but I still feel that the possibility is there.

Osama Dead

On the night of May 1, 2011 Barack Obama spoke out to the country and said that Osama Bin Laden, leader of Alchida’s terrorist clan was reportedly killed by the secret operation executed by the United States Army. Now that Osama Bin Laden is dead i do not feel safer because our troops are still going to be battling regardless, and the simple fact that Osama was not the only terrorist that exists in our world today. This means that who ever may follow Osama could possibly try to attack the United States if they feel the need to seek vengeance.

My thoughts on Bin La-din’s death-andrew.w-

My thoughts as a Republican American on Bin La-din’s death are quite harsh, but a threat to the U.S. needs to be terminated at all costs. The only thing America did wrong was go easy on Bin La-din by killing him, they should of tortured him to the full extent to get useful intellect then killed him without funeral. I believe that U.S. should terminate all threats quicker and bring the hammer down on all of corrupt infidels to ensure complete safety of the citizens of the United States of America, but also to squash the next disgrace of the world that tries to follow Bin La-din’s foot steps of embarrassment.

Osama bin Laden

I think Osama’s death was a benifet to the United States, but I also think it will not really change things. It’s a benefit to the United States because that means there’s one less terroist to harm the U.S. Bin Laden was known to be involved with the tragic incident of September 11, 2001. That day will be remembered forever because it had such a big impact on our country. I also think that with his death some things wont cghnage because he was not the only terriost out there. Our world has alot more terriosts who need to be captured, but one suspect down is better than none.

Osama Who??

So most American’s know that Osama Bin Laden was killed by American forces on May 1st of 2011. Most American’s now feel safe with him dead but I on the other hand do not. I feel that the main focus of our armed forces has been centered on Afghanistan and Iraq looking for Osama meanwhile he was in Pakistan. Now that he is dead our troops will still not be coming home and we will still be fighting for oil. Our troops will still be fighting over policies that our government feels necessary. Also when it comes to terroristic groups when a leader is being hunted he selects a prodigy. That prodigy will soon have to prove that although Osama is dead Al Qaeda is not.

Brady-Osama Assignment

The death of Osama Bin Laden im sure is the number one story around the world today. And while i think it is a great achievement that has been a necessity to get over the past decade, i dont think that it will make a huge impact on terroism today. Because Al Queda in Pakistan isnt even our biggest threar anymore. The Al Queda in Yemen is now ouur number one opposing threat. I think this will be more of a great thing for President Obama because of the political boost he will get for it.

My Blog Osama Bin Ladens Death (Stewart S.)

Since Osama bin Ladens death I have felt a little safer than i have in the past few years. I also feel that everything should be peaceful for awhile but its not going to last because something new will happen. I do think though that someone will eventually take over Osama bin Ladens place as leader of Al Qaeda.  Right now I’m just going to enjoy the peace and quite for as long as possible.
