Royal Wedding or Bin Laden?

One reason that the Royal Wedding may be more important in the long run, more than the death of Osoma Bin Laden is because, the marriage of the Prince and the Princess is a Royal tradition that has been around for a long time.  There has been many kings and queens, prince and princesses, and every year it has gotten the same publicity just as the Royal Wedding in 2011.  The wedding will impact our futurer forever because it is a more up to date wedding and most of us all got to witness every little detail on tv.  It did deserve to have all the press and media because we can really see our own history and what it will bel like maybe 60 years from now until the next Royal Wedding.

One reason that the death of Osama Bin laden may be more important for our future is because, many people believe that he had alot to do with many different tragadies in the US.  Some believe that he had something to do with 9-11.  Others think that his kids may take his footsteps and continue on with his acts.  On the internet, they think that since his death, America faces threats towards our future more dangerous the Al Queda.

Theres always am opinoin whether or not either will be that historical in our future but i believe that the death of Osama will have a bigger impact on our future.

Tuskegee Airmen

Hello, This is Jenea M. and Jesse G.from Mr. Sals and Ms. Beyers 1st period 20th Century Class.

The Tuskegee Airmen were a group of aspiring pilots, who came to the Tuskegee Airbase to begin training to become fighter pilots in the war.  During the training they were discriminated against for being African Americans.  The white pilots thought that they were insufficient compared to themselves.  These pilots in training were put to tough tests, flight school, and manuverability test in the airplanes.  After getting their pilots license, they started scouting and doing ground patrol runs.

The white airmen didnt want to share the same space as the African Americans because they thought they were not good enough to fight in the war.  Unbeknownst to their knowledge that they actually needed the African American pilots to help escort the bomber planes so they wouldnt lose their men to the opposing enemy planes.  They needed them because they were better than what some white pilots and captains predicted.

The preception that the Tuskegee Airmen had changed was that colored men were just as good as the white men, if not better. They could fly and fight and bring down the enemy jusy as well as the white pilots could. They proved that everyone can do whatever they want no matter what color their skin was.

Me and Jesse’s Individual Group Assignment

Jesse and I thought about the movie, and what it means to us. The aspects of the movie are found in our assignment, you will read about what the Tuskegee Airmen were all about. We both expressed our thoughts and what we learned from the movie amd how we think it happened.  Jesse and I typed the blog on individual computers with the same post. We both contributed to the assignment equally as a group. We used the time in the computer lab given to us and at home.

People in World History…

Hello, my name is Jenea M. from Mr. Sal’s 1st period 20th Century Class. The Blog I will be writing about will be on Woodrow Wilson’s life throughout presidency, Archduke Francis Ferdinand, and also on The League of Nations.

Woodrow Wilson was born on December 28th, 1856 in Staunton Virginia. In his earlier years, Wilson began teaching at Bryn Mawr College, before he went off taking a job offer at the faculty of Wesleyan University. The time being there, Woodrow published several books and even got the attention of a national reputation as a political scholar. The way that he came known into presidency, was because of his intelligence, and ways of solving issues, came to the attention of New Jerseys political leaders. During his first term, he passed a tariff and legislation reform. Later on in that term his wife died, WW1 broke out in Europe and things just went down hill from there. In 1918, Wilson suffered a stroke from working to hard. In 1920 he was awarded a Nobel Peace prize, and later on retired from his doings with his new wife Edith Bolling Galt, and died three years later.

Archduke was born in Graz, Austria. Just at 12 years old, he he inherited the title Archduke of Austria. After his mother and father passed, he became heir to the empire in 1899. Going by the rules of Austro Hungarian Empire, he was supposed marry someone of equal rank.

Immigration

Hi,My name is Jenea M. from Mr.Sals first period 20th century class.
Immigration has caused many types of problems throughout history. As of today there are currently around 200 million immigrants, but mainly in parts of Europe. Although freedom of movement is often recognized as a civil right, the freedom only applies to movement within national borders.

As of the 19th century, until today, the expansion of the United states increased the flow of immigration, and most of them were from foreign countries. Now a days many countries have immigration and visa restrictions that prohibit a person entering the country for the fear of getting a job without a valid work card. People that are declared an economic migrant can be refused entry into a country. There are several rich countries that are open migrants and regugees that come from the more low class countries such as : Austrailia, Canada, Europe, Italy, Norway, Portugaul, Spain, and many others. The most common as we all know is the United States. During the 17th and 18th century and so on, 400,000 immigrants crossed the Atlantic, mainly coming from Europe. Immigration has troubled the US techically wise, money wise, and many other ways, and has increased since the 18th century.
