Hello my name is Daniel K. and I’m in Mr. Sal’s 6th period world history class and the Tuskegee Airmen came to be because the United States was using them as an experiment. Before them, there were no African-American pilots in the air force. All of the Tuskegee Airmen scored extremely high on the tests to get into the training facility and at the training facility they learned just as fast as the white pilots did.

When the Tuskegee Airmen got to actually start escorting bombers the white pilots disrespected them when they found out that they were black. Over time though whenever the Tuskegee Airmen proved that they were some of the best pilots the white bombers actually requested for the Tuskegee Airmen to escort them to Berlin.

What color are the pilots in the airforce? Untill the Tuskegee Airmen, all the pilots that were in the USA’s airforce were white. Now there is a group of trained African- American pilot’s that have made history for all African-Americans. Thus this has made a legacy created by the Airmen, for all African-American’s there is still nationalism for their country. All African-American’s are not treated as they are today as they were back then, but because of the tuskegee Airmen they gained alittle more respect than they had.
