Hello my name is Pearce J from Mrs Sals period 9 class, and in my blog post im going to talk about lynching. Lynching started happening in the 1800 hundreds, and sometimes still happens today. Lynching is when someone gets a rope tied around there neck, and hung from a tree. This was started by the white men and they would usually do it to the African Americans, but it started becoming fearfull when the KKK started threatning peoples lives.

Opponents of lynching appealed to national pride as one reason to end the murders of african americans. Ida B. Wells led a national battle against lynching.
