WW1 game blog

Hi, my name is Drew D. from period 9 Sal’s class. I was apart of the Ottoman empire.

Our group spent our econimic points on a lot of things. We Mostly bought navies because they dont count as just one, they are worth double points. We also bought industry because it gave you more economic points, which is good.

Our country made treaties with two other countries. We made these treaties because if someone would attack us they would back us up. This way we would not lose. Our countries chose not to break any treaties because we felt it was the nest choice so we could dominate the other countries.

Yes, i am very pleased with our countries outcome. I am pleased because we dominated the other countries. If i were to do anything differently I would maybe buy more industries in the beginning so that we could get more navies later on.

I now have a better understanding on how diplomacy works because I now know the main reasons countries go to war.

Urban Growth

Hi, My name is Drew D. from Mr. Sal’s period 9 20th Century History class. Urban growth is a bad thing because it lowered the citizens living standards by limiting their resources. Also, not enough jobs were available for all of the people who moved to the cities in hopes of getting a job. Urbanization is the growth of cities. One example of a problem of urban growth was that the resources were limited for the people. There were so many people that there wasn’t enough food to provide for everyone. Another example of an urban growth problem is that there was not enough jobs for everyone. Because there were so many people there wasnt enough jobs for everyone. Urbanization was a bad thing because the growth happend all at once.

The government tried fixing this problem by doing many things. One thing they tried doing was that they had changes in transportation. They also advanced the technology by making steam power instead of water power. This made it so that the factories didnt have to be near the rivers. These things helped Urban Growth by spreading the people out, but it did not completely fix the problem. There was still a lot of people in the cities even the goverment did things so that it would not be as bad. People still lived in poor conditions and didn’t have enough food to eat. They were crowded and the places they lived were unsanitary.
