bad news bears

The United States killed Osama Bin Laden. Therefore, i feel as if that puts the United States in danger. I feel as if some one from Pakistan is going to come over to the United States and bomb us, or do something crazy. It’s great that we found him, but it still makes me scared. He was our biggest rivalry. The United States solders weren’t supposed to be in Pakistan in the first place. It is now unpredictable the events that might occur in the nearby future in our country due to this. Even though the death of Bin Laden is a huge accomplishment it still scares me.

tuskegee airmen.

At first the Tuskegee Airmen was a project for the government to see if it would work out. It was for the US Army Air Corps to integrate African American pilots into the Fighter Pilot Program. The Tuskegee Airmen were forced to constantly suffer harassment, prejudice, and a lot to do with the critics back home. They had to take a test to see if they could become a pilot and they passed. When they showed up one of the Sargents made them take the test again which they passed again. The Sargents were really surprised. Then from there on out the pilots only got better.
The attitudes of the other pilots dramatically changed towards the Tuskegee Airmen over the course of their service because they realized that even though the Tuskegee Airmen were African Americans they were still really amazing pilots. At first they criticized the Tuskegee Airmen only because of there race, when in all reality they were just as good of pilots if not better than the whites. The attitudes towards the blacks changed because other pilots realized they were really good at what they were doing and they would be a good contribution to other services if needed.
The legacy left was that skin color doesn’t matter. People said that they don’t want blacks being supporters for the battles in the air. The blacks proved to everyone that they were just as good if not better than the white pilots. Towards the end the white pilots realized that they really needed the black pilots to help them in the air because they had never lost a bomber to an enemy aircraft. The Germans wanted to make sure that their backup was a reliable source to make sure that all the pilots came back alive. This made whites realize that skin color doesn’t matter because anyone can be a pilot if they really set there mind to it.

liza’s world war one game blog.

Hey this is Liza P from Mr. Salvucci period six twentieth century class. I was part of the Great Britain Empire.

The way my empire spent are economic points is mainly by buying all navy or industries. We did this because we wanted to have a strong navy and we wanted a lot of economic points so we could buy even more navy.

We didn’t make treaties till the last rounds because we wanted to wait till are empire was strong enough so we wouldn’t lose. We made treaties with the Ottoman Empire and the Austrian Hungarian Empire. In the beginning we made a treaty with the Ottoman Empire but we broke it because the Germany empire wanted to attack them and we knew there were going to lose even with are help so we broke it.

I am pleased with my Empires outcome because we did end up winning. I wouldn’t do anything different because my Empire play the game right and we won.

I have a better understanding of how diplomacy works in the world because I now know how countries can make treaties; I know how countries can break treaties and I know how countries win battle.

Expanding voting rights.

Hey my name is Liza P. I’m in Mr. Sals period six twentieth century class. There was once a time when women couldn’t vote, nor African Americans, they fought for the right, and by the 1920’s they got it. In 1890 women had won partial suffrage in 19 states, but in most of those states women couldnt even vote at local elections. State after state in the 1890’s in the south revised its constitution and laws to prevent African Americans from voting. The National American Woman Suffrage Association helped. They helped by there association growing from 13,000 members in 1893 to 75,000 members in 1910. By 1912, 9 states, all west of the Mississippi River, allowed women to vote in all elections. Yes it worked, because they got more members in there association.
