Osama bin Laden’s Death Vs Royal Wedding!

When it comes to watching TV lately, its very hard to turn it on without getting a new update. It’s not the usual weather coverage. This time it’s all talk about either the Royal Wedding or the death of the US’s Most wanted Osama bin Laden. in my opinion the most important of these events would be the death of Osama bin Laden. I am an American. I honestly am not interested in news from a wedding happening in Buckingham Palace. Sure it is history made, but not for America. The same reason why I would not expect Japan be completely interested in Obama’s election. Osama bin Laden’s death effects the US in postive ways. For all of thousands of lives that were taken on 9/11, the person responsible is gone for good.

WWI Game Post..

Hello, my names Stephanie K. Period 1 Mr. Sal Class. I will be telling you about the WWI Game we played in our class. You’re going to find out the outcome of my empire.
In the WWI Game I was a part of Germany. Our empire was already find when it came to economic point, etc. But our plan to gain more economic points was simple. We spent all of our economic points on colonies and industries for about three years, doubling our points each time. When we had about 15 we spent part on army and part on navy.
We saved a few because after spending them on army or navy you couldn’t get any back for the next year. Besides for the colonies and industries you already have. We kept that up until our Navy and Army were very strong; when war would brake out we would be prepared.
During the years we made Treaties with USA & France making our empires stronger. If any other empire wanted to declare war, we would have them to back us up. We were very strong together. Turned out that our technique worked because we concurred & we had a very good outcome.
I wouldn’t have done anything differently because everything turned out the way I planned it to. I now have a better understanding of how diplomacy in the world. I practically look at the world now as a huge game. We are always fighting other countries, winning over land. Depending on whom you make treaties with and how you spend your money is your over all outcome for your country.

Urban Growth
Urban Growth

In the late 1800s the popualation was about 20% of people in the United States lived in towns or cities. The United States was growing at a rappid rate. In the late 1800s this was the first sign of urban growth. This new growth in cities began to bring a tole on the city. Conditions begin to become life threading in some areas. So much growth started to effect people being able to get jobs. Many immigrants and factory workers were forced to live in the cities, causing over-crowdedness as the population began to expand with the economy. Disease was spread because of the close-quarters that people lived in, and the conditions at which meat was manufactured made the possibility for disease all the more real.
Today we are practically immune the communities expanding at a rapid rate. The population has nearly doubled since the 1800s. The rate we are at today, America looks as if the popuation is not going to decrease.
