The Royal Wedding

The royal wedding was beautiful well thoughtout wedding. Prince William and Catherine Middleton who is now known as Catherine Mountbatten-Windsor, got married in London, England. They got married after dating for nine years. The couple got married at the Westminster Abbey Church. This wonderful occation happened on April 29th very early in the morning. America personally is very interested in this royal wedding because america is all about gossip and press. It is a very big story to get ahold of. Some differences i noticed about the wedding is that it wasnt that big, it was beautiful but they could have made it ten times better with all the money they have. One thing i found interesting about the wedding is all the men in uniform marching around and the carrage with horses, it made everything look like a fantacy. The royal wedding was a unique wedding, the newly weds have great lives ahead of them.

WWI game blog post

Hi my name is Stacie M and i am in Mr. Salvucci’s period 6, 20th Century History class. I am part of the Russia empire for the WWI game that we played. My group spent our economic points very wisely because we had to make sure we were making the right decisions so we didnt loose. We made treaties with France and Germany because they were the most powerful at the time and we had to make our country stronger. We didnt break any treaties because we liked the way our country was turning out, it was turning out to be very strong. I am very pleased with my countrys outcome because we did a very good job because we took our time and did it the right way we didnt rush into things. The only thing i would have done differently is i wouldnt have chosen France because our country would have been bigger if we didnt. I have a better understanding of how the diplomacy works in the world because we were tought step by step how the war went nd we just reinacted it in a game, but the game made us realize war is a crazy thing and you have to give things up sometimes or you can gain things it depends on the choices you make.

Progressive era blog

Hi my name is Stacie M. I am in Mr.Sal’s period six 2Oth century history class. My blog is about expanding voting rights. By 1890 women had won atleast partial suffrage in 19 states. In some of the 19 states women could vote in local or state elections. Only Utah and Wyoming gave women full voting rights. The suffrage movement gathered momentum in the 1890’s. The assosiation grew from 13,000 in 1893 to 75,000 in 1910. By 1912 only nine states gave women the full voting right. All the states were west of the Mississippi River. They could not achieve their goal until the passage of the nineteenth amendment in 1920. While women fought to win the vote, African Americans struggled to regain it. Once the political system was rescued from controlling private interest, citizens could use government to protect the public interest. After the 1920’s everyone was allowed to vote.

my class expectations

Hi, my name is Stacie M. I am in Mr.Salvucci’s period six, 20th century history class. During this school year in Mr.Salvucci’s class I would like to learn a numerous amount of things. The two things I would most like to learn about is, to learn about the difference in economy from back then to present time. I would also like to learn about the journeys that our American soldiers took in the 1900’s. I enjoy learning new things everyday, but learning something I want to learn about makes it easier for me to concentrate.  I expect to learn many things this year. One thing I expect to learn is things about media and using technology. Another thing I expect to learn is how people lived in the 1900’s. I expect to learn these things only because it is my junior year and things will be a little bit difficult.  Using technology will make it easier to find things out you don’t know. Technology’s a great advantage to my class and I.
