The Royal Wedding

I think that people were so obsessed with the royal wedding because it was such a big part of history. The first royal wedding was so big in history there was so much media and so many people that went to the wedding just to see the king and queen of England get married. I think that the media was such a big part of the royal wedding because not many big event happen around here that are good in history, and when good things happen the media jumps right for it. The media loves getting big story’s and loves going to big events like the royal wedding. I think that the royal wedding is a big part of history and i think that it should have been shown to the world like it was.

WWI Game Blog

Hello my name is Jessica K. from period six 20th century class. In the World War I game that we played in class I was in the Germany Empire. We were a pretty successful Empire. My team spent are economic points on the Navy and Industry. We spent are points on the Navy, because there was two times more than there should be, and we spent are points on the industry because it could not be taken. We made treaties with USA and Russia, because they were really strong and we wanted to beat them. We did not break any treaties; we were close but did now succeed because there were other Empires stronger than we were. I am very pleased with my country outcome, because we gained a lot of power. If I would chose to change anything with my chooses I would build the industry up first than the Navy. I have a better understanding now of how diplomacy works in the world now because people ally to help get themselves stronger.

Limiting Work Days

Hello my name is Jessica K. from Mr. Sal’s 20th century class. I am going to be talking about the limiting work days in the United States. I will be talking about the weekly maximum working hours, opting-out of the 48 hour week, and who tried to fix the issue.

The average work day is 48 hours, and no adult HAS to work more than that. The 48 hours are normally over a period of 17 weeks. You can work over the average 48 hours a week as long as it averages over 17 weeks and is less than 48 hours per week.

If you are 18 years of age and wish to work more than 48 hours, you choose to opt-out of the 48 hour limit, and must be voluntary or in writing. You should not be sacked or unfairly treated if you do not sign an opt-out. Just remember you can always cancel you opt-out agreement whenever you want.

In November 2002 the 80 hour work limit went into effect in residencies by the American Osteopathic Association. It past but there was a lot of other things involved like, the trainee shall have on alternate weeks 48 hours periods off, or at least one 24 hour period off each week, averaged over a 4 week period.
