Expectations

Hi it’s Veronica from 20th century period 6. My expectations for this class is to learn more about world war one and two and the Holocaust because I find them very interesting and want to know more about them. My expectations about two technologies is to learn more about the Ipods and the computers because I want to learn more about them and how to use them. This are my expectaitions for this year.

Class expectations

Hi! I’m Brandon R. and I am a student of 20th Century U.S. History period 6 taught my Mr. Salvucci. I am most interested in learning about the wars the United States has been engaged or invovled in, particularly the Vietnam War and the Korean war. I want to gain a better understanding of how and why we became involved in these wars and what we were trying to achieve. I am also really interested in automobiles and would like to learn about the changing technologies and how automakers have improved design, performance, and safety.
I expect to learn how to use the Ipod touch more efficiently, so that I can take better notes. I also expect to learn how to use the Internet to research subject matters. Through Edmodo, I will be able to keep up to date in class.

My Class Expectations

Hi this is Austin S. in period 6 20th century. I would like to learn about the World Wars and the Vietnam War because I find them very interesting and want to know what our troupes faced in Normandy and Vietnam. I would also like to learn about operation Desert Storm because I find it interesting and want to know what it is like in modern warfare. I expect to learn a lot about history in the 20th century because of the class title. I expect to use the iPods and edmodo a lot this year because I think that they make class easier and more exciting. I also expect to use the blogging program because it makes writing papers fun. Writing an essay is no longer something you have to sit at a computer and do. I am excited for this school year, using this technology will make it exciting and fun.

my class expectations

My name is Sam M., and I am in Mr. Sal’s 9th period 20th Century History Class.

The subjects in this class that I want to learn about are The Great Depression and Women’s Rights.  I want to learn about the Great Depression because I heard everyone lost everything they had and I keep hearing people say that we are heading for another great depression because our economy is so bad right now.

I want to learn about Women’s Rights because I am a woman and I want to know what they went through to get the rights that we have today.  I know they weren’t allowed to vote and their place was in the home, but during the war, the women had to go out and get jobs, so I want to learn more about that.

The technology that we are using in class right now are ipods.  Truthfully, I don’t like using ipods.  I think the only reason we should use ipods is for music, not for learning.  They are so small and they are hard to work with.  What if we have sausage fingers like Mrs. Zern?  How are we supposed to hit the right buttons?  I always hit the wrong buttons and I can’t get logged on.  That is why I am doing this blog on the last day that it is due and I’m finishing it on the computer.  I haven’t had any luck on the ipod.

If I could learn to use one piece of technology in Mr. Sal’s class, I would like to learn to use the flip cam.  I think it would be fun to make a video of something that happened in history.  Kids could get in groups and work together to write a short skit and reenact a moment in history.  I think a flip cam would be a good piece of technology to do this with.

my expectations.

Hi I’m Liza P I’m in Sal’s 20 century class period 6. This year in his class I would like to learn and study more on the holocaust. The Holocaust is the only subject that really interest me in any history class I have been in. I would like to go more in dept with it.  I would also like to learn about World War Two and on the Kennedy assignation because that stuff interest me.  As of technology I would like to learn more about how t0 use the live scribe pen.  I would also like to learn more about how to use the I-pods and get more comfortable using them. thanks.

my expectations of pod for 2010-2011

Hi, my name is Andrew W.; I’m in period 3 econ class. There are a few things i want to learn this year during class. I would like to learn the differences between our cultures, because there are so many different things we don’t know about our differences. With history I would also like to know more about the wars, because I just think it’s important to know about our wars. Technologically i would like to learn how to do more blogs, because we are definitely going to need to know how. Adding to that, I want to do more with different websites, so I can get a better hold of them.

JC’S Course Expectations Blog Assignment

Two of the things I want to learn about in this 20th Century History class are the assassination of John F. Kennedy and the destruction of the World Trade Center by terrorists.   The reason I want to learn about John F. Kennedy is because there is a lot of controversy surrounding his death.  I want to learn about the destruction of the World Trade Center because it happened during my life time and it changed a lot of the way our country is run, so I’m interested in learning more about it.

As far as expectations about the technology are concerned,  we have been working on ipods for three weeks and it was not letting me log into anything.  Now I logged into my account on a computer and I am finally working on my assignment.  I guess I wish it was easier to work on the ipods because then I could actually get stuff done in class.

The other form of technology I would like to learn more about is a Flip Cam.   I heard you can make cool little movies with it and I thought it would be cool to make a stop-motion movie or clay-mation about something that happened in 20th century history, like a day on the battlefield or something.

My class Expectations.

Hi, my name is Andrew L. and I’m currently a freshman at New Brighton High School. In Mr. Salvucci’s class there is a lot of new technology that we use which comes with some opportunities, challenges, and mostly expectations from the class itself. My expectations for the class are I hope that we learn more about history than the technology because that’s what the class is about. Also I hope to learn a good bit of Beaver County history because that really interests me. My expectations for the technology are that we learn how to use the websites that we are currently signed up for to greatly enhance the learning experience and not just be a liability. Another thing that I expect from the technology is that we use the laptops every so  often because typing with the i pods is a challenging task. Those are my class expectations for period 8 Honors Civics and I hope that they are met as best as they can be.

Brant’s Course Expectations Blog

Hi. I’m Brant S. and I am in Mr. Salvucci’s 9th period 20th Century History Class. The first thing I would like to learn about in my 20th Century History class is the Cold War. I want to learn about the Cold War because it seems interesting and I don’t know much about it or why it happened. The next thing I would like to learn about is why the Vietnam War happened.

When using technology in class, I would rather use the computer than an Ipod because it is too small, I can’t read it, and it’s hard to log on because my fingers are too big for the buttons. I already know how to use a Flip Cam, so something we can use that for in class is we could film students doing reenactments of wars during the 20th century.

My Class Expectations

Hi my name is Vera T. I’m in Mr. Sal 3rd period economics/POD. I would love to learn more about my government because I really don’t know anything about my government. Also I would like to learn about how the government make money. Cause people be trying to make fake money and i want to know the different between the real money and the fake money if they both look the same. For the technology I would like to work the smart board becasue you have a whole lot to do with the board. Also how you write on the this pad and then you hook it up to the computer and there go all the notes you took for that day. So that if you lose your notes you can look on the computer and there go your work.
