Royal Wedding

Clarissa G. All of the news and coverage of the royal wedding in the U.S. between Prince William and Catherine Middleton is pointless. The wedding took place on Friday April 29, 2011 in England. I dont see why the United States is so interested in the wedding. The United States is not apart of England. Prince William and Catherine getting married have nothing to do with us. The only reason the wedding is special is because the last royal wedding in England was in 1981 wich was 30 years ago. Also, Prince William could be the next King of England if the Queen chooses him to be after she dies. The wedding was beatiful though. It was very different from a traditonal American wedding. thats what i found interesting. Other than that iam getting tired of seeing news about the royal wedding.

The Royal Wedding

As we all know, the prince of England, Prince William married his beautiful love, Kate. The royal wedding was a huge moment to the world. The last royal wedding was taken place in 1981 which was 30 years ago. In my opinion as an American, the wedding attracts so much media and attention because this was the first royal wedding since Princess Diana and Prince Charles. Another reason why it might be so popular and talked about is because Prince William could soon become the king of England. From my own personal perspective, I am a little bored with the royal wedding even though it was drastically different from the average American wedding.

Remember the Titans

Question number: 11

Coach Yoast is presented with losing his hall of fame nomination.
He gave up his nomionation for the Titans. He knew that getting put into the Hall of Fame would be one of the greatest honors, but he also knew what he had to do for his team. For him to be put into the Hall of Fame the Titans would of had to lose the play off. The Titans were extremely good football team so odds are that they were not going to lose. To make sure that the Titans would lose the reffs were told to judge the plays unfairly. Coach Yoast saw what the unfair calls were doing to the Titans. They were working so hard and yet got called for every little thing that happend. The reffs even made stuff up so that the Titans would lose. In the middle of the game Coach Yoast told the reffs to call the game fairly.

Skype Reflection

Now that we’ve talked to someone who lives in the Middle East I do have somewhat of a better understanding of how life is over there. Some of the questions asked weren’t really helpful, but overall I think it benifited me. If we have another Skype conversation I’d do everything the same, but I would ask more detailed questions.

Osama Bin Laden is Dead by Jacob P.

On May 1,2011 Osama Bin Laden was announced dead late that night by President Obama. Osama Bin Laden was a terrible person involved in many terroristic acts. One of these acts of terrorism that many people know him for is 9/11. He destroyed the twin towers causing over 3000 fatalities. By him being pronounced dead brings some closure to this event, as well as relief to many people. Osama Bin Laden was found in Pakistan. President Obama has been searching for Osama for a while now and he was finally located and taken down. Osama faught back and after a hold out the miliatary took him out with a head shot. He was taken into American custody and after a DNA test it was confirmed that the man they had killed was indeed the terror mastermind Osama Bin Laden. While we do not really know the exact day he was killed, how he was located, or how long the shoot out lasted we do know for a fact the Osama Bin Laden is in fact dead.

Remember the Titans

Of course there is racial tension in America. There probably always will because nobody gets along and everyone acts like a big baby and is immature. So yes, there is racial tension in the United States, but in NBHS, there is very little racial tension. Among the younger kids there is none because they were not taught to be racist by their parents, so they do not even register they are different. They may notice, but do not care because their buddies, then their parents, tear them apart even though they are not that different. In the U.S., some people, mainly the older generations, still doesn’t approve of people of diffent races associating. Just because someone is a different on the outside doesn’t mean they’re different on the inside.

Remember the Titans

When Coach Yoast lost his Hall of Fame nomination, he was upset. He did not let losing the Hall of Fame affect his coaching,or affect the players of the team. Sheryl was the most upset about, her dad losing the Hall of Fame. After, the Titans won the Championship Game Coach Boone said to Coach Yoast “You’ll always be in the Hall of Fame in my books Coach”. Sheryl agreed and Coach Yoast,Sheryl,Coach Boone & the whole Titans team were all in there own Hall of Fame!

My thoughts on outcome of Bin Ladens death ( taylor whalen pd 3 POD)

In my opinion, i do think the world will feel safer, but will slowly realize that there may latter on, be attacks again.I personally have little comfort knowing of the death. I also am skeptic of whether or not the news is completely true, or whether to an extent, it is twisted to make the situation seem better then it really is.I do hope the news is true though, because there is a possibility of peace through the states. If he truly is dead, there will just be someone else step in to power and there may be a repeat of history. I hope the best will come of his death, and i hope that peace will come to all.

Osama…what happens now.

I think because of where Osama’s death took place Pakistan will retaliate to America for encroaching on their soil. But Al’quida will probably still exist but on a less numbered scale, because the funding from Osama wil be cut off.

Osama Bin Laden

Osama Bin Laden is one of the most feared men in all of American Society or for that matter the whole globe. He is featured on the U.S.’s FBI ten most wanted list, and also the World’s ten most wanted list. He is mostly responsible for the September 11 2001 attacks on the U.S. He also has conflicts with other countries such as England, France, and Spain, so he is pretty much hated everywhere he goes. The U.S. has been searching for him for just about a decade. But he is manly liked and considered a hero in countries such as Pakistan and, Afghanistan. But on May 1, 2011 he was killed by U.S. forces combined of 25 Military Men. He was killed because he was resisting to surrendering. The U.S. CIA gained intelligence of his whereabouts in August 2010.
